Paul and Heidi would like to welcome you to their comfortable, homely and centrally located guest house. The house itself has an interesting history. The foundation stone of The Observatory was laid on August 12th 1884 by Lord Mount Edgecumbe, who was the President of the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society. The Stone can be seen at the left of the front entrance. The roof is reinforced to take scientific equipment for the study of wind, rainfall and the stars. The telescope used at The Observatory is now in Kew Gardens.
